I am in a similar situation. I hired a personal injury attorney. Insurance companies will do everything they can to screw you. They will not care what your pain and suffering level is. If they find out you had a previous issue with the area that is now injured, you can bet your bottom dollar they will try and say the accident didn’t cause the issue, that it was a preexisting condition.

Your insurance is who you go through, they will take care of your medical bills.The only time you need a lawyer is if the insurance company refuses.

You should have (the day of the accident, preferably) contacted the insurance company, yours if this was a two vehicle accident, the guilty party if not. They will handle the claim.

You don’t need a lawyer unless the insurance company puts up a fight.

If you plan to get a lawyer GET ONE NOW. Also don’t try to figure out what type of deal to take on your own. They will give the worst possible deal and most people will take it.

Our neurologist suggested massage therapy. He was against using a chiropractor. He also suggested acupuncture

diff’rent strokes for diff’rent folks. my sister’s best friend died last year because she went straight to a chiropractor (i don’t have anything whatsoever against them) for a slight whiplash accident. after just one session she woke up unable to move the rest of her body. she died 3 months later. i’d say see an orthopedic, have an x-ray, then take their advise from there.

Go to a chiropractor, this is thier speciality, backs and necks and the problems coming from nerves and spinal/neck injuries.

I HAD a twist in my back and a bend in my back. My neck would go numb. No doctor, no neurosurgeon could help or knew what was wrong. I went to a chiropractor and hes been adjusting me. I can move and NOTHING is numb anymore. The prob with my neck was similar to whiplash because the muscles were pulling my neck bones back instead of forwards. I didn’t have that curve in my neck. They took x-rays before and after, my befores look all twisted and mangled, my afters are just like the pictures of correct posture that he had on the wall. GO TO A CHIRO BEFOR YOU END UP IN A WHEELCHAIR OR WORSE. If that doesn’t scare you, then I don’t know what will. It only took 12 visits for him to align my back and neck and I feel like I’m 17 again.
